In this article Michaël Ghyoot and Cécile Guichard (Rotor and RotorDC) revisit a few projects carried out by Rotor that highlight how the application of reuse of building materials can induce reconfigurations in design practices. With these examples as starting points, they explore more broadly the way in which reuse can initiate a new approach towards the role of materiality, materials and the act of building in architectural practice.
