Interior design for the Vlaams Theater Instituut (VTI)

The initial commission was a request to design new furniture for the VTI. In our proposal, we suggested shifting focus: rethinking the lighting installation instead of replacing the furniture.

The final project consisted of a series of interventions. We repositioned the existing fluorescent lights to create homogenous lighting over the whole floor. We added vertical lighting to illuminate an exhibition wall, and added a flexible system of movable pendant lamps for individual desk lighting.
