Au Bon Marché
Au Bon Marché took place in the Beursschouwburg itself, in December 2005; the idea was the have a cosy corner that would function as a help-yourself flea market. A series of objects were exposed: books, toys, slippers, alarm clocks; you could take whatever pleased you, on the sole condition that you?d put back something equally interesting. The ideal place to fetch a few original gifts for your friends; the wrapping paper and syrupy Christmas-music were for free.
This was a joint project of the Beursschouwburg (Brussels-based cultural centre) and the Kringloopwinkel (Centre for second-hand goods) for which Maarten Gielen and Tristan Boniver did the furnishing.
