Paris Habitat, Casernes de Reuilly

Paris Habitat invited Rotor to assist with the setup of reuse procedures for different phases of this project to convert former military barracks situated near Paris into social housing.

Rotor took charge of establishing an inventory of all potentially reusable components in the existing buildings and proposed different scenarios for their recirculation (on site, via local partners or via professional operators in the second-hand market). This eventually led to an exhibition presenting a few construction elements of the barracks, their potential for reuse, treatments that the elements would need and their respective associated costs.

Rotor also acted as consultants for design teams in charge of the renovation and reconversion project in order to assist with substituting new construction products with their reused equivalents.

A project by Renaud Haerlingen, Victor Meesters and Lionel Billiet.
